Men have a one in 23 chance of developing colon or rectal cancer in their lifetime. This is different to women, who have about a one in 25 chance. Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States. In 2021, over 104,000 cases of colon cancer will be diagnosed in addition to over 45,000 cases of rectal cancer. Colorectal cancer is expected to lead nearly 50,000 deaths in 2021.
