Description

Stop, Breathe, & Think (or SBT) is a free app for managing your feelings and emotions through short activities. Its time-friendly features aim to help you achieve even just 5 minutes of peace. Promoting kindness and peace, SBT shares 10% of all net revenue with Tools For Peace – a nonprofit dedicated to sharing the benefits of meditation and mindfulness with at-risk youth.

 

Overview

The features of SBT are right in the name. The app reminds you to ‘Stop’ and take inventory of your feelings. While it should come naturally, we sometimes forget to ‘Breathe’ and SBT reminds you of the benefits of focusing on that in difficult times. Lastly, instead of reacting to situations, SBT suggests taking the time to ‘Think’ through peaceful exercises.

Stop

While your days may be hectic and sometimes feel like too much to handle, the app reminds you that there is always time to stop and access how you are feeling. These exercises emphasize that you can benefit from taking a moment to reflect before reacting immediately.

We all breathe without thinking. However, thinking about your breathing or practicing mindfulness can help reduce excitement that may result in unwanted reactions. SBT reminds you to breathe to separate and better control your thoughts, emotions, and reactions.

 

Think

With SBT, you can draw upon personalized meditations and activities to widen your perspective. The makers believe that this can lead to more positive thinking and approaches to stressful situations.

I love this app. I'm so grateful for the time that I spend in meditation everyday. Even if you are not having your best day, you can gauge your emotions in the app itself. I find myself loving the emojis, as the emoji's come with a list of emotions that you can check off to self check where you are. That's my favorite part, as wherever you gauge yourself, several meditation recommendations will appear and you can choose which ones you want to do.

Pros

This app is quite useful for every emotion, mood, attitude and where you are at, be it sad, happy, confused or angry. The meditation is very calm and I was much more balanced after having meditation through the app. I highly recommend this for anyone who has challenges in their life and who are also thriving, to stay on top.

Reminds you to literally stop - breathe - and think!! There are multiple 6+ really good minute meditation sessions which mean you can relax, connect with self and “breathe” freely. I will use this app daily!

Very helpful. The best features of SBT are right there in the name.... The app reminds you to ‘stop’ and take stock of your feelings. This app has kept me glued to it, and I don't even have the premium version right now. I get anxiety and tension headaches and the meditations on this app are excellent. I think if I use it every day it's going to really bring my general life-stress levels down. This app is a keeper and not getting deleted!

Pros

Meditations are great and I like the general feel / image of Stop breathe and think. There's a reason why it's rated so highly on the app store!

This has been the best app so far, it is a great guide to mediation. The features are from the name stop, breathe and think which gives techniques on how to deal with every day challenges. It also has a timer for those who love long mediation. I normally log in everyday to check in my emotions by answering some questions.

Great app if you like to meditate! I enjoy guided meditations rather than doing it on my own, but I used the 'timer' feature too which is cool for longer meditations. Love love love the rainforest sound, it definitely gets me in the zen zone. I also love that when I open the app I get to log how I'm feeling.. really love this app! Some of the meditations are only for the premium version, but I think that's pretty normal.

Pros

Fabulous meditation app! Calming sounds, great guided meditations and the people guiding the meditations have really calming voices! Meditation is one of those things that it can be hard to actually get yourself to do (because life gets busy!) but it's a totally life-changing activity and this app is such a good tool to help.

Cons

Some of the features are only available with the premium model.

I really like this app. It gives me information on how your brain works with depression and fear and stress. The way they do it is very fun they have a sort of chat and it gives you some messages everyday... The first day i got a strip with images explain how the fight, flee, freeze mechanism works. Its fun for a lot of ages to do and it doesn't take a lot of effort or time.

This is the best app to help you gain peace of mind because in most cases, a peaceful mind works great. This app guides us into thinking about ourselves and keeping a sober mind. All we have to do is Stop doing much of what kills us, Breathe for a while and Think of the best solution to our problems. Incredible app with relevant information!

This is a very great app I can say. There are so much going on in our lives and sometimes we are confused and lack the perfect solutions to our daily troubles. But with the help of this app, you'll learn that whenever you have a problem, you don't need to rush into conclusions that might cost you later, what you need is to Stop for a while, Breathe and Think for a while because you may find the solution in you or anywhere close to you.

My 2020 New Year’s resolution is to start meditation to allow me to slow down in life. I was introduced to this app from a friend who is 3 years in on doing meditation on the regular basis. I started my New Year’s resolution mid-December to get a head start. I use this application every day to Stop, Breathe, and Think and it has allowed me to meditate and stop each day. The app also provides a lot of features of different types of ways you can handle your everyday stress such as; Counting breaths, gratitude and kindness exercise you can learn and use. This app has helped a lot.

Pros

A lot of features to explore on meditation and handling your stress. You can actually learn a lot from using this app can release a lot of your daily stress.

Cons

Not much really.... it is really easy to use.
