Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic condition, which require long-term care by your rheumatologist and your primary care doctor. Maintain routine follow up appointments with your doctors. They will closely monitor for your progression of the disease and the need for treatment changes. They will also need to monitor for any medication related side effects.
