Avascular Necrosis – Progression

Avascular necrosis is a very rapidly progressive disease. Meaning patients will come in having told me that just a few months earlier, they were walking around, doing just fine. And suddenly now they come into my office using a walker or a cane and really severe pain with any weight bearing on the joint. This is a characteristic hallmark of avascular necrosis and requires prompt treatment in order to provide treatment to these patients before they have debilitating condition.
