Blepharoplasty is an outpatient procedure, but it typically takes between one and two hours to perform, so you should be able to go home the same day. The surgery may be done under local or general anesthesia, though this may depend on what the surgeries are that are being done. You should make sure that a friend or family member drives you to and from the hospital or surgeon’s center. It is also recommended that you have someone stay with you for one to two nights.
