Transcript

BPH and prostate cancer are entirely different conditions. BPH is at least 10 times more common than prostate cancer, but because the prostate, whether it’s cancerous or not, has tendrils or fibers of BPH, even men with prostate cancer experience some BPH symptoms, BPH causes symptoms we’ve described, whereas prostate cancer usually causes no urinary symptoms at all. BPH does not predispose to prostate cancer. However, both require some testosterone in a man’s bloodstream to develop.
