Brachial Plexus Injury – Full Recovery

Transcript

Whether a nerve injury or brachial plexus injury recovers spontaneously or recovers as a result of surgery, it is often a long road to full recovery. For patients who have undergone reconstructive surgery, from the time of that surgery to the ultimate recovery obtained, may take up to two years. So again, we expect patients to wait 18 to 24 months to see the full recovery. We do expect to have a significant degree of recovery between nine and 12 months. And this is often predictive of how great the recovery will be at the end of that two year time point. But we expect the patients to have to wait a good 24 months to achieve all of the recovery that they will get from the operation.
