So one of the major questions that I see is, what is autologous reconstruction? And it’s very simply, we use your skin and adipose tissue to reconstruct the breast. This differs a lot from the old days where we were transferring tissue using muscle and fascia, which is the structure of certain areas of the body. Today’s technology and techniques allow us to leave the structural components behind, take the skin and adipose tissue that you don’t need in those areas that don’t provide any support to move to the breast to reconstruct the tissue. This is appealing for a lot of patients because the tissue that we take, they typically don’t need. And this eliminates the need for any foreign objects for your reconstructive procedure.
