Cervical radiculopathy refers to an irritation of a nerve that arises from the cervical spine that travels down the arm. The symptoms of cervical radiculopathy can be sharp, shooting pain that travels from the neck to the shoulder and down the arm into the hand, or numbness or tingling that similarly radiates down the arm. Cervical radiculopathy can also be associated with some weakness in the shoulder or the arm, and numbness in the hand.
