Constipation and Diet

Constipation is often a multifactorial problem. However, diet can play a significant role and thus altering your diet may really help symptoms of constipation. In particular, low fiber diet contributes to many symptoms and thus eating foods that are higher in fiber will often improve symptoms. Also, states of dehydration tend to exacerbate constipation and increasing fluid intake is also very helpful.
