COPD stands for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Similar to asthma and bronchiectasis, it’s another disease of the airways within the lungs. This is different than pulmonary fibrosis and the interstitial lung diseases, as well as pulmonary vascular diseases such as pulmonary hypertension.
