Transcript

People are often told when they go to the emergency room that they have a broken wrist. What is a wrist fracture? A wrist fracture is a break in one or more of the bones that comprise the wrist. The wrist actually starts at the end of the forearm and it extends to the end of the hand. So anything in this rectangle from the forearm to the base of the fingers can be considered a wrist fracture. There are numerous bones in that zone and any or all of them can be injured.
