- Are you a Doctor?
People often use the term dizziness to mean many different things. To me as a doctor, dizziness is a term often used to describe the disturbance in equilibrium. The term is very general and can include a wide array of symptoms, such as fatigue, visual disturbances, lightheadedness, confusion, and vertigo. This is amongst other symptoms. It is often difficult for the patient to adequately describe the symptoms. One of the goals of the physician specialized in dizziness is to gain an understanding of what type of dizziness the patient has been experiencing.
