- Are you a Doctor?
You should see your doctor if you regularly have difficulty swallowing or if you note a weight loss, regurgitation, or vomiting that accompanies the trouble swallowing. If an obstruction interferes with breathing, call for emergency help immediately. If you are unable to swallow because you feel that something is stuck in the throat or in the chest, go to the nearest emergency room, especially if you notice any distress with any of these symptoms.
