The surgery itself is typically an outpatient surgery, depending on where you have it done. Sometimes it requires the inpatient hospitalization for one night, but in general, the recovery is anywhere from four to six weeks, allowing for proper healing around that prosthetic device before you’re able to use it. So those first four to six weeks, you should take it easy, make sure everything heals in before you start to use it and go on with a sexually satisfying quality of life.
