Foods to Avoid For Diarrhea

There are major categories of foods which are helpful to avoid when experiencing diarrhea. I think the top contenders for triggers of diarrhea are things such as fried and greasy foods, items such as caffeine that allow people to have a laxative effect from it, as well as things that are high in sugar content. In addition, items that are high in fiber, and certain fruits and vegetables that are raw can have high fiber contents and that can exacerbate people’s diarrhea. Finally, I always think that milk is very difficult to tolerate in the setting of diarrhea. Even if people have had no problems in the past, they can become almost pseudo lactose-intolerant and have a very difficult time tolerating dairy products. Thus, that’s another big category to avoid when experiencing diarrhea symptoms.
