Heart Attack – Prevention



Prevention of a heart attack is key. Knowing your risk factors and being able to decrease your risk factors, we can really decrease your risk for having a heart attack by up to 80%. Some of these risk factors or some of the things that you can do to decrease your risk for heart disease include increasing your physical activity, eating a heart healthy diet, weight loss, or maintaining a heart, healthy weight, cutting out alcohol, quitting smoking if you do smoke, and if you have other risk factors like hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol, you should make sure you see your doctor on a regular basis and get treated adequately for these ailments.
