Hi, I’m Dr. Jay Rechtweg. I’m an ENT, also known as otolaryngologist, in Garden City, New York. I’m a partner in ENT and Allergy Associates and been practicing on Long Island for over 20 years. I’m originally from Long Island. I grew up in Lawrence and went to Lawrence High School. Did college at Union College in Schenectady, New York, medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. I did my internship and residency in Buffalo, New York. I did a fellowship in rhinology, which includes complex conditions in the nose and sinuses, and allergy at the University of Chicago. I’ve been back in Long Island ever since completion. I love practicing ENT in Long Island. It’s my home, it’s where I grew up. These are people that I know, they live in my community. I run into my patients on the street. As an ENT I take care of many of the conditions that affect your quality of life, whether it’s hearing or speech or swallowing or breathing. By helping you, I’m helping you live a better life, a more comfortable life.

When not practicing medicine, I spend the time with my family. I’m an avid bicyclist and spend many weekends on the bicycle for many hours. If the weather’s not good, I’ll even be on a bike inside the house. I also have a hobby of photography. Many of you who’ve seen me in the office have seen my pictures. I travel around the world whenever possible and take pictures. I’ll do it on the streets of in New York. I’ll do it in the streets of my town. I really thank you for your time and your consideration.
