Menopause – Hormone Replacement Therapy

share

Transcript

Replacement therapy is exactly what it sounds like: replacement of hormones during menopause. So the hormones that we replace are estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid hormones are typically hormones that are impacted during menopause, sometimes DHA levels or adrenal gland hormones. So it’s a combination of estrogen progesterone. And in my case, I, I frequently prescribe testosterone. Testosterone is not yet FDA approved in women, but we are able to prescribe it and compound it off label.
