Molluscum – Diagnosis

There are no tests done to determine if you or your child has molluscum. Instead, a dermatologist or pediatric dermatologist makes a clinical diagnosis. That means they will do a physical exam to determine what it is. Rarely, the dermatologist will do a scraping of one of the bumps if the diagnosis is in question.
