Again, this probably goes back to what Freud said. Just a focus on childhood. I.e. a lot of these personality disorders really started when we were kids. I mean, certain needs that we may have had were not necessarily met. And as a result of that, this kind of manifested to this behavior. At times, during an acute situation may seem positive, may seem effective, but long-term, chronically, it leads to adverse sequelae around your peers, around your group.
