Palliative care recognizes that at the center of our complex, medically driven healthcare system, are people, people who have complex health conditions, people with individual care preferences, varying social support, financial wellbeing, or access to healthcare. Different teams, work together with the oncology teams to prevent or ease, suffering, improve quality of life for both the patient and the loved ones and help them make difficult decisions along the way.
