If the patient is found to have a chronic sinus infection, antibiotics might be utilized, either in the form of pills or topically administered into the nose and sinuses with nasal washes. If the patient is found to have severe inflammation and / or nasal polyps, oral anti-inflammatory medications such as steroids might be recommended as well.
