There is a form of laser therapy that can be used to treat psoriasis. This is known as excimer laser. With this form of light therapy, there is a strong UVB light that can target only the affected skin. Excimer laser therapy requires fewer sessions than traditional phototherapy because more powerful UVB light is used. Side effects often include redness and blistering.
