Is recurrence of psoriasis common? Yes. Recurrence of psoriasis is common. Psoriasis may be recurrent, transient or persistent in nature. It is a dermatological condition that tends to come and go. However, sometimes it stays and lingers for longer periods of time. Particularly if triggers are not eliminated and if this condition is not well controlled, psoriasis may recur quite frequently. The best way to avoid recurrence is to avoid associated triggers and follow your maintenance therapy regularly so that you do not flare. If you and your dermatologist find a treatment that works for you, that’s also key in something to keep in mind.
