There are several reasons why someone has ventricular tachycardia or VT or experiences sudden cardiac arrest. The main reason is if you are experiencing an underlying heart disease. Keep in mind if you have already had a heart attack or experienced heart failure, you’re more likely to develop ventricular tachycardia. Of course, there’s also the chance that you just inherited it from one of your parents. And for someone getting ventricular tachycardia, it can be completely random.
