Transcript

Researchers have been able to link a gene mutation to some people who have the syndrome, but it’s a very small percentage. We also don’t know what causes the gene mutation. The truth is, WPW usually occurs in people who have no family history of the condition whatsoever. Most hereditary cases have been linked to a gene mutation. As you know, we all inherit one copy of each gene from each of our parents. So it will likely have been inherited from one of them if you have the mutation.
