Menorrhagia – Treatment Options

Once you have a diagnosis of menorrhagia and you have been evaluated, then we discuss what your options are. If you are not anemic and you just want to know, why am I bleeding then? Theoretically, depending on what your diagnosis is, as far as the etiology of what’s causing your bleeding, there is a possibility that you don’t have to do anything. It may not be life-threatening to you. And so if it’s not life-threatening you have the option of doing nothing. It’s totally your choice. Now, if you’re anemic, then it may not be something that you would want to do. And the provider probably will suggest some type of intervention, but otherwise you have that option.
