  • Board Certified Psychiatrist
  • Owner and Founder of Chastain Psychiatry in Atlanta, Georgia
  • Addiction Psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of Substance Misuse and Abuse

A native of the Midwest, Dr. Browning has had the opportunity to live in many different states and cultural areas across the United States. He is happy to have now called the Southeast ‘home’ for over a decade. This eclectic upbringing instilled a passion for connecting with others. Considered to have an empathetic and calming approach by his patients, Dr. Browning believes in meeting each individual on their terms. He seeks to foster a genuine connection with his patients and finds that keeping a curious mind can help to reveal common patterns of interpersonal interactions, thoughts, and behaviors through a psychodynamic and supportive approach.

His practice, Chastain Psychiatry, was created with the mission of providing psychiatric care of exceptional quality for its patients. He works to structure multiple systems of support for his patients through connection with new technology, subspecialists, therapists, groups, testing resources, and by rallying family and social support. The biological understanding of mental illness—the specific neural pathways and brain regions involved in the development of depression, anxiety, and addiction—is a rapidly growing area and one in which Dr. Browning is especially interested. That said, the mind is seemingly infinite in its complexity, and he believes it equally important that the human psychological and social experience are integrated into our understanding of mental wellness and disease to round out a multi-dimensional approach to care.

Orthopedic Surgery

Ron Clark, MD

Orthopedic Surgery
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
  • Inventor of over 10 US Patents related to orthopedic surgical devices
  • Educator, researcher, and patient advocate for musculoskeletal disorders

Dr. Ron Clark graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine in 1986 and then completed a 5-year residency in orthopedic surgery at the same institution in Galveston, Texas. He then spent 6 months acquiring additional experience in knee and shoulder procedures with E. Marlowe Goble, MD in Logan, Utah. With Dr. Goble, a new method of knee ligament fixation was developed using a surgical pin that secured the replacement ligament into the bone with greater security than was otherwise available at that time. Since that time Dr. Clark has been looking for new ways to improve care to his patients through research and testing of novel devices. In 2006 he founded Valpo Orthopedic Technology in Valparaiso, Indiana and invented a partial knee replacement that could be inserted through an incision of under 2 inches. While over 150 patients benefited from this device the company did not survive a competitive commercial environment and no longer exists. Dr. Clark has been practicing orthopedic surgery for over 29 years and now works and lives along the Arizona, California, and Mexico borders where he cares for those with bone, muscle, and joint disorders.

Dr. Clark has an extensive list of public speaking and teaching events where he has been instructing other orthopedic specialists, physical therapists, medical residents, nursing students, and even the public. Doctor Clark has joined with Doctorpedia specifically so that he will have additional opportunities to give back to the public much of what he has learned in nearly 30 years of medical practice. In 2012-13 Dr. Clark produced the television program, “Yuma Health and Happenings” which aired locally in Yuma, Arizona and featured presentations by Dr. Clark and other local physicians on ways to become healthy and active .  Doctor Clark is also an emeritus associate editor of the Journal of Arthroscopy and Related research, one of the world’s leading medical journals for the study of bone, muscle, and joint disorders. Doctor Clark’s objective is to simplify the complex such that all may understand how they can find relief for their painful joint disorders. Doctor Clark has been a leader amongst his peers serving as chief of surgery, chief of the medical staff, president of the county medical society, and participating as a committee member for the International Society for Arthroscopy, Knee, and Sports Medicine as well as committee chair for the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Neurology

Consciousness and its content have fascinated me since my youth. I am Jesse Corry, a board-certified neurologist and neurointensivist currently practicing in St. Paul, Minnesota. I received my BA in biology at Lawrence University in 1998, and my MD at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2002. I completed my residency in 2006 and fellowship in 2008.

Given my interest in states of consciousness, I have investigated the use of hypothermia for treatment of seizures refractory to conventional management and novel management of cerebral edema. My research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and presented at several regional, national, and international conferences. Later in my career, improving access of patients to neurologic care via telemedicine grew as an interest that led me to work in the Twin Cities of Minnesota helping to expand and develop teleneurology services. It is during this time that I started to podcast on a number of topics from diet in brain health to how memory influences topics in current events.

The neurosciences are fascinating. I hope to share this zeal with my patients. However, brain and nerve health can be overwhelming to patients and families affected by these diseases. As a neurologist, my goal is not only to educate patients and families about their condition and treatment options, but to serve as a guide in what are often difficult experiences.
