Dr. Wilson is a Colorado native.  Although originally planning to have a ballet career, the universe pushed her towards medicine. She completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Denver, went on to complete her MD degree at Washington University, did her Urology residency at the University of Southern California, and then a Urologic Cancer fellowship at the University of Colorado.Dr. Wilson was a professor at the University of Colorado and taught surgery for over 15 years. Dr. Wilson mentored over 30 residents, 18 medical students, 2 fellows, and is one of the top 3 busiest surgeons in the operating room both at the University and Littleton Adventist Hospital.  She has written one book, nine chapters, 63 journal articles, and has delivered over 100 lectures. She decided to become part of Centura in 2018, after getting an MBA in healthcare, and was named Chief of Surgery a few months after joining.  2 years after that, she was asked to develop a sub-specialty surgery line. Dr. Wilson has written over 100 peer-reviewed published articles on Urologic Cancer and has given over 300 lectures. She is currently on the faculty for Medical Education Resources, where she educates doctors about Men’s Health, Urologic Cancer, and Urologic infections. She has had the highest volume for cystectomy, a complex reconstructive surgery, for many years and loves to cure people who have Urologic Cancer.Dr. Wilson’s received a half of a million dollars from grateful patients while at the University.  This money has created a foundation where the interest from this principal allows for 4 women surgeons to be granted scholarships each year to have access to mentors, research funding, and other career development tools in an effort to add to the diversity of the University of Colorado Surgery Department.Dr. Wilson is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and serves on the Medical Executive Board of Littleton Adventist Hospital as well as that of the STEM school in Highlands Ranch. Her values center around education, working together, service, and communication. When she heard about Doctorpedia, she felt the platform matched these values and wanted to support this important effort.  When not working, she enjoys playing keyboard in her family band, reading, and enjoying the Colorado Outdoors.

Dr. Paul Young is an ENT – Otolaryngologist – with a practice located in Amherst, New York. Dr. Young is the director of Otolaryngology at the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. He is also a clinical Associate Professor of ENT at the University at Buffalo Medical School. Dr. Young is affiliated with a number of Buffalo area hospitals including Sisters of Charity, Millard Fillmore Suburban, The Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Erie County Medical Center.

Dr. Young received his medical degree from the State University of New York Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Young is the recipient of the America’s Top physician award in 2015. Dr. Young is also the recipient of The Arnold P. Gold award from 2008 to 2011 for humanism and excellence in teaching. He also won the Maimonides Award for Academic Excellence and Compassion from the  Maimonides Society in 2007 which recognizes one for exemplary service, integrity, clinical excellence and compassion as well as volunteering as a teacher during their medical training.

Dr. Usman Zahir is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery proudly serving the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. As a leading endoscopic spine specialist, he is one of the few surgeons in the region performing the procedure. Dr. Zahir is trained on three separate spinal endoscopic platforms. As an instructor, he continues to teach and train other surgeons from around the country on endoscopic spine surgery. His practice is one of the few reference centers for endoscopic spine surgery in the United States.

Dr. Zahir's interest in endoscopics began out of a desire to find less invasive ways of treating common spinal problems. Endoscopic spine surgery is the least invasive surgical treatment for spinal stenosis and disc herniations.

Dr. Zahir is the first surgeon in the DMV region to use the Joimax® iLESSYS®/iLESSYS® Delta Joimax endoscopic spine system for the treatment of lumbar stenosis.

Dr. Zahir was previously Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital (2012-2017) before joining HCA Virginia Physicians (2017-2019). In 2019, he entered into private practice. His current practice is dedicated to the advancement of endoscopic spine surgery in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Daniel Zanger MD FACC completed his undergraduate BA degree at Yeshiva College ( Magna Cum laude ) and went on to finish medical school training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine . He went on to complete Internal Medicine training at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center ( Jacobi Hospital and the Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine) . He completed his Cardiovascular training at New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center and is dually boarded in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease as diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology .He has authored articles in the area of antiarrhythmic therapies.
