Dr. Mayes was originally born in Eureka, California but primarily grew up in Pocatello, Idaho. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Idaho State University. As part of clinical course work at AUC, Dr. Mayes spent his last 2 years training with a UCLA affiliated residency program in Bakersfield, California. Dr. McDonagh graduated as a member of AOA from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. McGovern grew up in New York City. He attended New York University and the Cooper Union where he obtained B.S. degrees in mechanical engineering and energy science. Dr. Amit Mehta is a double board-certified interventional pain management physician who grew up in the Chicagoland area. He graduated cum laude with distinction from the University of Illinois in 1999, and went on to pursue his medical education at Rush University in the city. Following that, he spent four years at Northwestern University completing his anesthesiology training. Dr. Mehta relocated to New York for his fellowship, where he completed his interventional pain management fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. Dr. Nate Merriman is a Gastroenterology Physician who has joined our Doctorpedia team as a Founding Medical Partner and as one of the Chief Medical Officers for our Gut Health Channel.  Dr. Merriman grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia, attended Brown University for college, and completed his medical school training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.  He then moved to Philadelphia with his wife where they both finished their residency and fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania, his wife is a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician.  He and his wife have been in medical practice for over 12 years.

Dr. Mena Mesiha is a Board-certified orthopedic surgeon trained in general orthopedics, with specialized fellowship training in problems affecting the shoulder.

Dr. Mesiha is a graduate of Cornell University and received his Doctorate in Medicine from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed his Orthopedic Residency at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by additional training in the Harvard Shoulder Fellowship at the Mass General and Brigham and Women’s Hospitals. Dr. Marc Polacco attended Gustavus Adolphus College, obtaining Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Biology and Chemistry, as well as a minor in music.
