Dr. Frankel is trained in Emergency Medicine and Trauma Medicine. During the most recent COVID pandemic, he was instrumental in guiding his community and other communities on the most effective safety measures
and treatments for COVID-19. He is passionate about Emergency Medicine and enjoys teaching medical students and residents the most up to date emergency procedures. After the war of October 7 broke out, Dr. Frankel was one of the first ER/Trauma Physicians to fly to Israel and help with wounded soldiers and Palestinian patients at Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.
After receiving his Masters Degree from McGill University in neuroscience,
Dr. Frankel went on to study medicine at Columbia’s international medical
school in Beer Sheva Israel. The only American certified medical school for
international health, Dr. Frankel also practiced medicine for a short period
in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Upon returning to Baltimore, Dr. Frankel was the assistant director of Sinai ER-7 for roughly 10 years. He then went on to work in private practice Emergency Medicine in Towson Maryland and opened his first medspa, DF Medspa in 2023.
