Whereas we used to only be able to check for these mutations on the actual tissue biopsy, now there’s a lot of different companies that can test for these mutations in your adenocarcinoma of non-small cell, just through your blood. You get your blood sample and you can run to see if you have one of these targets.

 

In fact, if somebody is 85 or 90 years old, and it’s thought that it’s adenocarcinoma, or they have a lung cancer that’s pretty obvious on the imaging and you haven’t gotten a tissue biopsy, but they never smoked, it may be worth getting these mutations.
