Now my patients often ask when they will feel back to normal or when they can get back to normal. This is really different for each patient.

It usually takes about six to eight weeks to recover from a major surgery, such as the one that is done for ovarian cancer. However, with added chemotherapy, the recovery can even take longer or even up to a year after the end of the treatment. But it’s not all doom and gloom.

Having a good support system and outlet really helps. Do focus on the positive and maximize each day. In the end, I want to invite you to see our other videos on this and hundreds of other topics at Doctorpedia. I hope I helped just a little bit today.
