ADA Standards of Care is an app developed by the American Diabetes Association which provides an archive of information about diabetes. It is targeted towards healthcare professionals, clinicians, dieticians, and educators, however patients are encouraged to do their own research on the subject of diabetes as well.
The Standards of Care (SOC) app contains all you need to know about treating and managing diabetes. Whatever your status, if you’re interested in the most up-to-date standards for diabetes care, then the free ‘ADA Standards of Care’ app is the all-in-one guide you need. Main sections include SOC Tools, General Information, Improving Care and Promoting Health in Populations, Classification and Diagnosis of Diabetes, and Prevention or Delay of Type 2 Diabetes. When you enter one of these sections, you’ll find an extensive list of sub-sections containing the relevant data. There’s also a search bar in case you’re looking for something specific.
The app is maintained well, and updated whenever new diabetes guidelines are released, multiple times per year. The design and functionality are nothing special, but the app contains everything you need to know about diabetes, and due to it being developed by the American Diabetes Association, it earns a 10 on the credibility scale. And since it’s updated frequently, you can be sure that you always have the most up-to-date info on diabetes.

The ADA has been playing an important role in America and this app has the most recent standards for managing diabetes with nutritional recommendations and guidelines for educators, diet professionals and even doctors. I highly recommend this app to everyone...very helpful information.
Has the most recent standards from the ADA.
No cons.
Overall Comment
This app provides up-to-date knowledge on aspects of diabetes from diagnosis to management to population health from the most highly regarded academic resource (ADA). As a clinician, I see the great utility of the various algorithms in guiding management of diabetes and would use this app myself in the future. In terms of formatting, I found some of the topics to be too wordy and would recommend modification to a bullet-point format to make it more clear and organized.
