If you find it hard to explain the symptoms you feel when dealing with depression, learn to verbalize your feelings through the Moodnotes app. This convenient app takes journaling to the next level. Many believe journaling to be an effective practice for self-awareness. Moodnotes can help you recognize the emotions you’re feeling.
While many of us do or would enjoy journaling, sometimes it can be difficult see if progress is being made. Moodnotes tracks your progress so you can develop healthier thinking habits. Sometimes it’s difficult to see what’s right in front of us. For that, Moodnotes recognizes “traps” in your thinking and delivers a new perspective. The suggestions it offers to promote new ways of thinking also increase self-awareness and reduce distress.
“Moodnotes tracks your progress so you can develop healthier thinking habits.“
The difference between journaling on your own and through Moodnotes is the assistance the app provides in tracking your mood. This way you can easily develop healthier thinking habits by being shown and removing unhealthy ones. You can also go back and see entries from previous days to compare and contrast your progress.
While it can be easy to fall into “traps” when dealing with depression, it may become difficult to recognize them and remove them. Moodnotes helps you employ new perspectives to situations where older ways of thinking is no longer working. This prevents you from being in a frustrating cycle of actions affected by depression.
Being in control of your emotions requires you to be aware of them. With Moodnotes, self-awareness can be achieved through the app’s suggestions for your thinking “traps”. The activities you can engage in help eliminate negative emotions and improve your overall wellbeing.

A friend recommended me this app and I have come to like this app. It is like a journal which has empowered me to track my mood over time and helped me to identify what influences. Also it has helped me to increase self-awareness by checking my thoughts.
I'm asked to say exactly what contributes to my good and bad feelings which improves my self-awareness.
It doesn't always allow me to write my feelings accurately, it prompts me to a thought correction procedure to write something negative if I have only recorded positive feelings.

When i first started the app i thought some of the challenges to do were quite funny but i still did them and it really gives a little self boost to do if you are not feeling good about yourself. The way it works with the challenges and rewards is real fun. I'd totally recommend it to people who need a little self boost once in a while
Fun way of working
Still things to improve in the layout

What a great way to get out your feelings by writing them down. Moodnotes is like a journal. You get to write down how you are feeling and it's like you are talking to a shrink but in a better way. It's an app that helps you get through your depression.
It's so easy to use

Talking is an essential thing to do as it out pours inner feeling s and negative thoughts.. Moodnotes is a prime app that is handy in jotting down all personal thoughts.
The app has concise dropbox creating an easy chance to navigate through the moodnotes app.
I'm mostly interested in free cost apps and there a few indirect costs if you want to get full use of all of its features.

A great journaling tool to keep track of your thoughts and feelings and to help find a way to reframe the negative thoughts and anxieties that arise to form a positive and productive mindset to move forward
Easy to use, clear and concise directions, helpful
The only con for me is the cost involved for an app with very simple design and features
Overall Comment
This app provides an outlet to journal your thoughts and understand these thought patterns over the course of days, weeks and months. You are able to pinpoint what is running through your mind and what has contributed most to your negative thoughts. Using CBT methods, you are able to learn about the various “thinking traps” such as catastrophizing, fortune telling and negative filtering. This gives a more didactic and dynamic explanation to truly understand one’s complex thought process. If you are willing to put in the work journaling, this app could be of great value. The design is very simplistic but easy to use overall.
