Description

Ouchie is an app that lets you manage your pain through data, tracking, and community involvement. The app’s tagline is #donthurtalone, meaning that one shouldn’t have to suffer in silence. Instead, Ouchie lets you join a social media-esque community that allows you to connect with others and share your thoughts about the pain that you’re dealing with. Ouchie is targeted at those who suffer from “lower back pain, neck pain, knee pain, migraines, fibromyalgia, CRPS, Crohn’s Disease, endometriosis, arthritis, lupus, nerve pain related to sciatica, and more.”

Overview

The app includes a tracking feature which lets you track your pain over a period of time, and view a chart of how your pain has fluctuated. You can edit different aspects of your pain chart, including the amount of medication you’re on, new treatments that you’ve tried, sleep patterns, and more. But the main selling point of Ouchie is its community, allowing you to share your story with others and find people to connect with. No one likes dealing with pain alone, so with Ouchie, you can finally join groups of people who are suffering in a similar way.

“Ouchie lets you join a social media-esque community that allows you to connect with others and share your thoughts about the pain that you’re dealing with.”

Ouchie also provides useful resources for you to learn about new developments in the world of medicine and technology, articles written by top pain management researchers, exercise regimens, and external support groups. The application is relatively new, with only 43 reviews on the App Store, but most of them seem to be positive. It has an average 4.3 out of 5 star rating overall.

I like the concept, I like the 'tap the body' feature, and it is a pretty good pain tracker as far as pain trackers go. Personally, I didn't find it as easy to use as I would have wanted and I was struggling to work out how to use some of the features. I do like the fact that there is a community section though - it's always a plus to be able to connect with real people.

Pros

Good pain tracker Community section

Cons

I didn't find it that easy to navigate.

Ouchie is a nice app that helps you connect to other people who also have pain... I can post updates and see other peoples updates. Generally I think it is nice to have a support group.

Pros

Good idea

Cons

I found it a little bit hard to use.

This app is literally a life saver. I suffer from migraines often and feel alone because i sometimes get too sick to leave the house. The community Ouchie provides me with let’s me know that I’m not alone and there are people to support me and help me through it.

Pros

The sense of community I felt when I was too sick to leave the house made me feel like I wasn’t alone and that I would get through it.

Cons

It has some bugs that causes the app to crash every now and then.
