So now that we’ve decided to move forward with joint replacement surgery, you’ll be guided through this process either through case managers, or a scheduler, or nurses that will actually call you and allow you to get through this process more effectively and make sure we haven’t missed anything. This includes preoperative workup through your primary care doctors, cardiac clearance, if necessary, and making sure we have all the labs appropriate to ensure that you’re safe and healthy enough to proceed with joint replacement surgery. Depending on how healthy you are in terms of other comorbidities you may have, this process can take either a few days or up to a few weeks in length.
