And as we’ve already said over and over again, time is muscle. So the quicker you get attention for a heart attack, the less likely you’ll develop cardiomyopathy related to a heart attack. So if you get chest pain, shortness of breath, suddenly, that’s not going away, it’s best to call 911. If you have a cardiomyopathy that is genetically transmitted, it’s really important to get your family members tested.
