Cardiomyopathy: Lifestyle Changes

I think a common theme in cardiology and most cardiac conditions is lifestyle modification. It’s really important for the patient to have a healthy diet, rich in vegetables and some fruits, and avoid red meats and fats and sugars. Exercise. Walking 30 minutes, five days a week minimum becomes an essential part of the management of the patients with various heart disease, including cardiomyopathy. Other things such as avoiding smoking and avoiding alcohol and avoiding certain drugs that are toxic to the heart muscle become essential as well.
