There’s many associated conditions with heart failure that put you at a greater risk for having heart failure. The most common of these is coronary artery disease or ischemic heart disease. A lot of risk factors for this will also be risk factors for heart failure. This includes diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, alcohol, as well as high cholesterol. So it’s important to know all of these risk factors. These will all decrease your risk of heart failure.
