Obviously you can’t change your genetics. You obviously cannot reverse time and change your gender such that to avoid the risk, but you can mitigate stress, which I believe to be a leading risk factor that we don’t talk about out enough. You can eat healthy. You can exercise routinely. I recommend to my patients 30 minutes of walking, five days a week, minimum exercise. Monitoring your blood pressure and cholesterol levels are also very important. Seeing a doctor regularly are additional ways to try to mitigate that risk.
