There are three different types of coronary artery disease. There is the obstructive kind, plaque more than 50%, causing symptoms and limitation of blood flow to the muscle of the heart. There is the nonobstructive kind, less than 50% plaque, and then there is the microvascular type, which is disease in the smaller vessels that are not easily seen by angiography or the routine testing that we do.
