So the COVID vaccine is not specifically transmissible, but the virus itself is highly contagious. Hence the need for masking laws and social distance requirements. We also know that some of those are not even enough to prevent transmission and infection. So it’s really important to listen to your healthcare professionals. There do seem to be cases of patients who’ve gotten reinfected with COVID, either the original strain or another variant, even after getting the vaccine. Although the vaccination has been proven to be effective in preventing those cases of becoming very severe, after your quarantine period has finished and you’ve tested negative for the virus, until then stay home or listen to the advice of your healthcare professional.
