Discussing Sexual Health

The language and the topics of sexual medicine are very frustrating because they are embarrassing and humiliating to several – there are religious concerns, there’s the ethical and moral concerns. We have to deal with people who have life quality changes because they have sexual issues and we have to be open and honest and be able to talk about them. So on one hand we have sort of a difficult time broaching the topic because of the embarrassment factor, and on the other hand we need to, so we can help people who are bothered and distressed by this issue. So I don’t know that we’ll ever resolve this controversy, but I can say that a safe place for a person who has a sexual problem is a sexual medicine facility. In that facility, the staff, physicians, the healthcare providers, are all sex-friendly. We talk about sex.
