Unfortunately, there is no preventative treatment for Dupuytren’s disease. It’s genetic and we can’t modify people’s genes at this time. However, not everyone who experiences Dupuytren’s disease and has mild disease that doesn’t progress, people who don’t lose hand function as a result, do not need medical care. There is no prevention at this time.
