People ask, “Will I be able to push?” The answer is, you might not be able to tell that you are having a contraction because the nerves that go to your uterus are gonna be numb. If you cannot feel your contractions, then pushing may be difficult to control. For this reason, your baby might need additional help coming down the birth canal. That usually is provided by suctioning or forceps.
