Fecal incontinence can be divided into three categories. Passive incontinence is the first in which people do not even realize they are having stool leakage. The second is urge incontinence where people have the urge to go to the bathroom. However, they cannot reach there in time and thus have leakage of stool. And finally, there’s just basic fecal leakage in which bowel movements are normal, however, there is an involuntary seepage of small amounts of stool, and sometimes this can be even after a normal bowel movement. Depending on what symptoms that you suffer with. There can be a wide range of symptoms such as bowel irregularities, rectal pain, bloating, discomfort. If home remedies such as diet, exercise, water intake, and fiber supplementation do not seem to help, it is best to consult a physician to find other potential remedies for fecal incontinence.
