Influenza can cause mild to severe illness. And at times, sadly can lead to death. Flu is different from a cold. Flu usually comes on suddenly. People who have the flu often feel some or all of these symptoms they may experience fever with, or without chills, they may get cough, sore throat, runny nose, or stuffy nose. They may experience muscle or body aches, headaches, fatigue, and often feel tired. People may have vomiting and diarrhea. Although the symptoms seem to be more with children than adults. It is important to note that not everyone with the flu will have a fever. I often get asked this question of how flu spreads. Most experts believe that the flu virus spreads mainly by tiny droplets made when a person or people cough, sneeze, or talk. These droplets can land on the mouth or nose of people who are nearby less often. A person might get the flu by touching a surface or an object that has the flu virus on it, and then touching their own nose and mouth.
