So certainly if gout is left untreated, you can have formations of tophi, those big lumps in the elbows and knees, and pretty much every joint. And these big tophis can sometimes, they’re sometimes very painful. Sometimes they drain. Sometimes they can block nerves too. So it could be causing a lot of discomfort for the patient. Also the urate crystals, like I said, can deposit anywhere. So you can have a lot of pain. Gout patients are also at a higher risk for kidney stones. So that’s a concern. And having chronic gout and having the arthritis, the pain, the patients are oftentimes very immobilized. They can’t do their daily activities because of their flares or the joint deformities from gout. So certainly there’s a lot of complications if gout is not treated.
